What is a garage door seal?

This is the rubber piece located at the bottom of the door. It fills in the gaps at the bottom of the opening which keeps rodents, insects and other outside nusciences such as grass clippings and fallen leaves.

Crosstown Garage Doors holds a Contractors License (#SP14641) and bond issued directly through Hillsborough County. This designation allows us to install Hurricane rated doors that meet and exceed current State and County guidelines. This priveledge allows us to pull Building Permits related to the Garage door through Hillsborough County on our customers behalf which saves our customers the inconvenience of pulling their own permit.

Who can help me repair my broken garage door spring after hours or help me with a garage door emergency?

Crosstown Garage Doors does keep regular business hours, however depending on our availability, we may take calls and schedule appointments outside of those hours. We ask our customers to call anytime and we will respond in a timely manner.

Why is my garage door so loud?

Noise factors are often associated with the Rolers (nylon = Quiet vs. Metal = Louder), and the garage door opener is a factor. Chain and Screw Drive openers tend to be much noisier than Belt drive or Direct Shaft Openers.

What is wrong with my garage door if it doesn’t open?

If the door does not open, the usual cause is broken springs. Since the springs are the force that lifts the door which can weigh in excess of 600 lbs, when a spring breaks the door only moves a few inches. The openers are not designed to lift this weight.
